1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a web server when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners. Cookies are not executable programs and cannot access other data on your device.

Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — may also be used alongside cookies for the purposes described below. References to "cookies" in this policy cover all such technologies.

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website and platform to function. They cannot be disabled. Without them, core features — such as logging in, maintaining your session, and navigating the dashboard — would not work.

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting aggregated, anonymous data. We use a privacy-first analytics tool configured with:

  • IP anonymisation enabled (last octet masked before storage)
  • No cross-site tracking or advertising profiles
  • Data stored in the EU
  • No sharing of data with advertising networks

You can opt out of analytics cookies via our cookie preference centre (banner on first visit) or by enabling the Do Not Track signal in your browser (see Section 4).

2.3 Functionality Cookies

These cookies remember choices you make (such as your preferred language or timezone) to provide a more personalised experience. They are not used for tracking across other websites.

2.4 Marketing Cookies

We do not set marketing or advertising cookies by default. Marketing cookies are only placed if you explicitly opt in via the cookie consent banner. If you opt in, we may use these cookies to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and to show relevant content on partner platforms. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 5).

3. Third-Party Cookies

Our website uses the following third-party services that may set their own cookies:

ServicePurposePrivacy policy
Google FontsServes the Inter typeface used on the site. Google may log the request IP address for abuse prevention.policies.google.com/privacy

We have minimised third-party cookie usage. We do not embed third-party advertising tags, social-media tracking pixels, or retargeting scripts on our marketing site. The DataFlow-Xpert platform dashboard loads no third-party resources beyond the fonts and analytics described in this policy.

4. Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. DataFlow-Xpert honours DNT signals: when we detect a DNT header, we disable all non-essential cookies (analytics, functionality, and marketing) automatically, with no action required from you.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You have several options for controlling cookies:

5.1 Cookie Consent Banner

On your first visit to dataflow-xpert.io, a cookie consent banner will appear. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. You can revisit your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

5.2 Browser Settings

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Common instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent the DataFlow-Xpert platform from functioning correctly. Blocking analytics or marketing cookies will not affect core functionality.

5.3 Opt-Out Links

You can opt out of analytics tracking directly by emailing privacy@dataflow-xpert.io with the subject "Analytics Opt-Out".

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We will also notify registered users by email if changes materially affect how we use cookies.
